The paths to success for the world’s billionaires vary, but many of them share an alma mater at some of America’s top universities.

According to a report by Wealth-X Billionaire Census 2018, as cited by Business Insider, of the 2,754 billionaires worldwide, 567 have degrees from one of the top 10 American universities that produce the most billionaires.

Famous billionaires such as Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, and the two co-founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were all students at these institutions.

Unsurprisingly, Harvard University tops the list as the school that has produced the most billionaires. A total of 188 living billionaires were once students at Harvard, not including those who dropped out like Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, and Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft.
