Parents considering sending their children abroad for study know that each year, advanced education nations such as the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, etc., offer prestigious scholarships to outstanding students. However, the race for full scholarships is fierce, and not everyone has the chance to achieve them.
More importantly, most parents are NOT AWARE: THE UNITED STATES IS THE ONLY COUNTRY WITH A FINANCIAL AID POLICY for students, with the motto “No matter who you are, you can afford to study here.” For example, at Harvard University, more than half of the students receive some form of need-based financial aid. Families with an income of less than $65,000 pay nothing for their children’s education at Harvard, accounting for 20% of students. This year, 20.3% of those admitted are eligible for Federal Pell Grants, a government initiative to support low-income students (according to the Harvard Crimson). Notably, this aid is NON-REPAYABLE.
And Harvard University is not the only school implementing this policy.
