The 2018 U.S. Study Abroad Seminar Series “How to Get into Top Schools?” led by Mr. Trần Đức Cảnh – an expert in U.S. education – took place for the second time on August 25, 2017, at Café Du học Trẻ.

A large number of parents and students attended the event. During the seminar, Mr. Trần Đức Cảnh shared a wealth of updated information about the admissions process at top U.S. high schools and universities.

In addition to discussing admissions criteria, hot topics from the attendees included the study abroad planning process, what parents should prepare for their children, whether students should pursue STEM fields according to trends or follow their own interests, and how to secure graduate scholarships.

The program extended beyond its scheduled time as numerous questions were raised, with hands continuously going up, making the atmosphere in the room “hotter” than ever despite the heavy rain outside.

At the end of the seminar, Mr. Trần Đức Cảnh presented gifts as a gesture of good luck to the students who attended.

The three students who arrived earliest received a “gift” of a survival skills course for future international students from NEEC. The course is expected to start in October.
