Each country offers a different learning environment, and it is crucial to consider whether you are suited to the educational setting of a particular nation. • Social Studies is studied for a minimum of 3 years, including History, Economics, and Government courses. Besides the 4 mandatory subjects, students also have an elective subject based on their abilities, interests, and needs to enhance and develop skills and knowledge they are interested in. Elective subjects can include Art, Music, Physical Education, Languages, and Technical Science, etc.

Learning Culture

When studying at an American high school, students must get used to listening and understanding lectures instead of just copying notes dictated by teachers. This learning method is considered to help students develop independence and initiative in acquiring knowledge, thereby increasing their interest in self-study and significantly improving learning outcomes.

Moreover, American high schools place great emphasis on student participation in sports, cultural, and social activities, student organizations, charity work, extracurricular activities, camping trips, and more. They believe that through community-based social and team activities, students will improve their physical health, relieve academic pressure, and develop essential soft skills and qualities for the future.

The graduation format in American high schools is based solely on cumulative grades in mandatory subjects rather than end-of-term exams. This approach significantly reduces the pressure of examinations on students.
